These
dogs are homozygous normal for the intact
SOD1 gene. The Dogs do not carry the mutation in SOD1, which
is proposed to be a significant risk factor for developing Degenerative
Myelopathy.
These two dogs can pass only the normal gene to all their offspring.
The known mutations were analyzed in both animals. |
